Samsung releases its new Exynos 1480 4nm chip that comes in the recent launched Galaxy A55, with new integrated Xclipse 530 GPU based on the AMD RDNA architecture that is used for high end Exynos chips.
Exynos 1480 features
The Exynos 1480 uses Corte A-78 with 2.75 GHz and Cortex A-55 clocked upto 2GHz. with increased clock speed and uses less power consumption which result a significant 22% improvement than 1380.
According to Samsung there’s a 13% improvement in launching apps and 18% overall multicore performance. New Xclipse GPUis expected to gain upto 53% performance improvement than Mali-G68 MP5 in Exynos 1380.
Other supported features are same as the previous 1380 except the new Modem with Wifi 6E support
