Xiaomi MI14 series recently received the new HyperOS version 1.0.38 for its internal beta users with a package size of 544MB. The package contains a lot of improvements and new 5G improved connectivity.
According to the report, the system got a 5G-A connectivity, which is also known as 5G Advanced. As stated, the speed to the connectivity depends on the service operator of the SIM in user’s area.
The camera got some further enhancements and features like a new photo mode that supports Super Telephoto, blur effect and beauty effect optimization in portrait mode. Introduction of Xiaomi AISP, (Xiaomi’s AI model) for portrait photography improvements.
China mobile reported that they built the 5.5G on the 5G connectivity, but it is way more advanced than 5G with higher speed and lower latency, capable of achieving up to 10Gbps downlink and 1Gbps uplink speed. At the end of 2026, China is aiming to fully use the 5.5G.
