Recent statistic data from 2024W30 revealed in their report that Xiaomi has become the top smartphone manufacturer in China. The report data shows the increment of market capital of Xiaomi in China reached 18.6% after the first sale of its MIX Fold 4, MI Flip X and Redmi K70 Extreme Edition. Prior to this, Vivo also got the top spot in early 2024.

In terms of Global market share Xiaomi got the third position by reaching 42.3 million units shipment per year and 14.8% global market share with 27.5% increment rate per year. The Indian smartphone market is also in lead by Xiaomi.
IDC statistic data of Q2 2024 shows the global smartphone market is still held by both Samsung and Apple with their smartphone shipment counted to 53.9 million units and 45.2 million units respectively. Samsung reached the 18.9 % market share with 0.7% increment rate per year while the Appel reached the 15.8% with 1.5% increment rate per year.
Xiaomi’s new and innovative approach is continuously grabbing more market and making more customers but after successful in China it would be challenging to compete with the rest companies in the mobile industry
