In recent Samsung’s 55th annual shareholders meeting. TM Roh, (head of Samsung mobile division) talks about the integration of Galaxy AI features into older devices, including a 2-year-old Galaxy S22 series.
Roh talked about the ‘Hybrid AI’, a fusion of cloud-based and on-device AI technologies tailored to leverage hardware performance. However, Roh states that implementing AI features on devices demands substantial hardware resources and effort.
Samsung is finding more opportunities to implement Galaxy AI on older devices and is only possible if the device’s hardware can meet the rigorous demands of these advanced features before greenlighting their implementation along with OneUI 6.1 which is set to come later this month starting from Galaxy S23.
