Samsung released its Galaxy M55 in March 2024, Samsung’s first midphone to have a 45w fast charging. The mobile comes with the 45w charging USB-C with the phone (not in the box). It revealed that the device only supports 25w charging and is unable to achieve 45w charging.
Samsung no longer provides its standard charger with their phone but the 45w USB-C will only be available with the official 45w travel charger. The cable is thick to transfer more power to the device. While Samsung didn’t mention anything about this strategic move.
Another point to be noted is that the 45w charger significantly did not perform well compared to the 25w charging but in the initial 30 minutes, it seemed to a boost to charging speed. Media test revealed that the Galaxy M55 took about 70 minutes to fully charge the device which took 15 minutes less than the Galaxy A55 which uses 25w charging
