Sources from China blogs revealed that the Redmi K80 is going to launch in November 2024 and it will be the first phone to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, the fastest android chip ever produced for next gen smartphones.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is based on TSMC’s 3nm process and uses Qualcomm’s own ‘Oryon‘ CPU. The chip has all the 8 performance cores, without any efficient cores it includes 6 high performance cores cocked at 2.78Ghz speed and other 2 super cores clocked at 4.09 Ghz. The new chip has also greatly improved power consumption.
In addition, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 achieved Geekbench 6 single core score of 2884 points and 8840 points in multi-core score. Whereas the A17 Bionic is still a tough competitor with a 2980 single core and 7850 multi core points.
The Redmi K80 will also have a 2K straight screen and large bottom main camera sensor paired with telephoto and ultra-wide angel lens.
