The latest report from ithome reveals that Ouga Laboratory is currently testing a 7000mAh battery paired with an 80W fast charging solution. This development is a new rising phase among the smartphone makers to increase battery capacity as well as improve charging speeds
Ouga’s Batter Innovation
Ouga previously worked on 6500mAh battery charging solution for mid-range models and now they are currently working with 7000mAh battery. This is a significant increase from the already large 5000mAh batteries of the recent Oppo Reno 12 series, OnePlus 12, OPPO Find X7 series which support up to 100W fast chargings.
In addition, the report stated that Xiaomi is also working on various fast charging solutions and experimenting on various battery and power combo like the – 5000mAh+120W, 5500mAh+100W, 6000mAh+100W, 7000mAh+100W etc. While it’s not yet clear which specific models will feature these advance battery solutions, the ongoing research and testing indicate that significant improvements in smartphone battery technology are on the horizon
