Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman stated Apple is nearing an argument with OpenAI to integrate certain generative AI functions in its new iOS. While there are also negotiations between Apple and Google to incorporate Gemini that are underway but no deal has been finalized yet.
It is expected that both companies are in the final stage of negotiations to utilize the ChatGPT integration in iOS 18. There’s another discussion between Apple and Google to license its Gemini chatbot but no confirmation has come to a conclusion.
Apple is expected to announce and showcase some AI advancements at WWDC 2024 even next month, where the company is expected to reveal some advance version of Siri assistant.
