According to a recent report, iOS 18 will introduce a highly anticipated feature: the extension of dark mode to the iPhone home screen. The dark mode in iOS 13 has been popular among users for providing a more comfortable visual experience by turning system apps and interface elements dark. iOS 18 will enhance this by making Apple app icons adapt to dark mode automatically.
Mark Gurman also mentioned in Bloomberg’s report that iOS 18 would allow users to customize app icon colors. The ability for icons to adopt a dark theme seems closely related to this customization feature.
The further information of the iOS 18 will reveal by Apple during the keynote speech at the WWDC24 conference, scheduled for 1 a.m. Beijing time on June 11.
